Turn of events

Based on some lab results I learned yesterday that I have Celiac Sprue.

I mentioned it to some of my coworkers as I found out about it on one of my breaks and their range of responses was pretty interesting. One very vocal coworker immediately said 'that is a fake disease' 'it's all in people's heads'.  Another asked if it could be controlled with a pill. While a third said that if I didn't have rashes then I probably didn't have it.

It made me realize how most people must feel about Celiac  and a lot of the misconceptions out there.

No matter.

Today begins my adventures in a Gluten free diet. So far, all of two meals in, I've been able to eat pretty normally.  A spinach shake for breakfast with bananas, spinach, honey and almond milk. And for lunch some leftovers of rice with veggies and fried chicken.  Looking for some dinner suggestions, something good as leftovers.  Google here I come...
